In the 8 facts about yourself, you share 8 things that your readers don't know about you. Then at the end, you tag at least 8 other bloggers to keep the fun going.
Here are the rules:
* Each blogger must post these rules first.
* Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
* Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
* At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
* Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.
1. Not everyone knew that I am a graduate of BS Physical Therapy, a 5-year medical course. Although I am presently working in a publishing company (which I really love and enjoy doing), my passion for the care for the sick lives on.
I really wanted to be a military officer. When I was young, I dreamed of wearing military uniforms with a riffle in my waist. My dad was very proud of me when I told him that I wanted to enter the PMA, but my mom declined to it. She told me I can take any other courses except that one. So, I decided to take physical therapy instead and I can say that it’s one of the most rewarding things that ever happened in my life. I learned the value of life, health, and serving other people, most especially the sick.
2. I am a frustrated actress and director. I used to practice them when I was still studying. I received an award for best director when I was in elementary and received recognition as an actress during my high school days. I did some plays during college. I joined the actor’s guild in our institution. Funny thing was, I auditioned for serious and dramatic roles, only to be given comedy and hilarious characters…hehehe!
3. I want to have 8 lovely and healthy kids! Since I only have one sibling, I promised myself that I will have more than two kids. My dad told me that if I really wanted to have 8 kids then I should start now.....hahaha!
4. I hope to have my own foundation and school. I want to contribute something to the society and bring back to others the blessings God has been giving me all throughout these years. I want to be off-service with our less-fortunate brothers and sisters. I want a foundation that will cater to the abandoned and sick children and elderly. Everyday I pray for this. I know that this is a big and expensive endeavor and that I will be devoting all my time and energy but I firmly believe that if it’s God’s will, then everything will be possible in His own time.
5. Two things I couldn't go without when sleeping are a blanket and my rosary. I couldn't sleep without a blanket... never mind the pillows! Even if the weather is too hot, I will still put my blanket on. I also couldn't go to sleep without holding my rosary. It always amaze me everytime I wake up still holding the rosary. I would even wake up at night everytime I feel that I lost grasp of my rosary. I will search for it, hold it again, then go back to sleep.
6. I spend an hour to fix myself every morning before I can get to work; that includes bathing, grooming, and pampering! I love scents and make-ups. I collect perfumes and sprays. One of my favorite perfumes is Clinique - Happy, while Pear Glaze of Victoria Secret is my favorite spray. I loved scented lotions too… mostly from Victoria secret. I love make-ups too! I have lots of make-ups such as foundation (I go for liquid and matte mousse), eye shadows, cheek blush-on, and lots and lots of different shades of lipsticks!!!!
7. I am a book lover. I enjoy reading since I was a kid. I remember I learned to start reading even before I start schooling. My mom also worked in a publishing firm that is why I was blessed with lots of books and instructional materials. She would give me books as a birthday present rather than giving me a toy or candy. I used to complain but now, I thank her for that! When I was in high school, I could finish a novel in just one night. I have lots of books and I neatly placed them in a book shelve… I have Nancy Drew series, Beverly Hills High, different fiction and non-fiction books. I love to read suspense and mystery novels (Mary Higgins-Clark, Sidney Sheldon, etc.)
8. I have mentioned in no. 7 that I love to read novels… but one thing I love to read now is the Holy Bible! My views and my life have dramatically changed when I opened my heart to Him. I studied in catholic schools ran by sisters and congregations. We are required to memorize all the common prayers and how to pray the rosary. We are also required to be familiarized with the Holy Mass and other sacraments. I prayed when I was younger, but only now that I really recognized God’s presence in my life.
Now, my mystery books and novels are safely kept and placed in a book shelve. I am more of reading inspirational books, books about life and God. I guess, this kind of thing goes with age. As you experience life’s hurts and struggles, you begin to search and recognize the things that really matter in life. Yes, I am raised as a Catholic with strict religious values but only now that I really appreciate the importance of these things.
At present, I am active in serving our church in various activities (as the head of the evangelization committee) and has been serving as a lector/ commentator for 4 years. I am now not just a Catholic but a certified BELIEVER.
Thanks Lourdz for, once again, sending me a nice tag... while doing this, I realised that while most of us enjoy knowing others by looking in to their profiles, it is also equally good to share some trivial things about ourselves...
Now, I hope to know some facts about my blogger friends: bluedreamer, coolingstar9, hye, sophia, and toni.

5 Lessons About the Way We Treat People.
I received a very interesting e-mail from a friend and I wish to share it to the readers... I guess, you have received the same message before. The message really got my attention because I always believe that in LIFE, simple things count! We may never know how much our little actions mean to others... but they count and remembered. How would you like to be remembered?
During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50's, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. "Absolutely!" said the professor. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say "hello." I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.
One night, at 11:30 p.m., an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car hadbroken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960's. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxicab. She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached. It read: "Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away... Godbless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others. "Sincerely, Mrs. Nat King Cole.
In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him. "How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked. "Fifty cents," replied the waitress. The little boy pulled his hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it. "Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired. By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient. "Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied. The little boy again counted his coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said. The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies. You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.
Fourth Important Lesson
The Obstacle in Our Path
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way. Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand! Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.
Fifth Important Lesson
Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare & serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he wouldbe willing to give his blood to his sister.I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes I'll do it if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away?" Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her.

4 Guiding Principles of Relationship
In a relationship, it is relevant to have mutual understanding. This mutual understanding can be best achieved through an open communication. The agreement to accept each one's feelings, personalities, attitudes, and behaviors requires profound understanding and respect. Always remember that both partners have the right to speak and to be heard as well. Each person has a point of view.Developing empathy with another entails developing it within yourself first. Empathy is a way of listening to yourself as well as to another person with resonance of an entire experience of feeling, thinking, perceiving, and behaving.
Also consider the fact that what someone believes is more important than what they know. Requiring others respond to you in a particular way renders much deeper understanding on other's feelings.
"Everyone fails empathically with another at times. Most important in a relationship is how the empathic ruptures are learned from to then come together with greater understanding. At times the most important thing may not be what you have done, but what you do after what you have done."
When faced with troubles, remember that to forgive someone is to free yourself.
You cannot change yourself by first trying to change someone else. The only person you can change is "you". Attempting to change someone else’s personality style, behavior, and attitude won’t work, and will only create disruptions and derailments.
These 4 Guiding Principles of Relationship will not only help couples to cope up with each other's differences but also will help them understand more the value of putting other's feelings above one's own.
1. Faith
When we experience tragedy, do we still believe in God? When calamity confronts us, is our faith still strong? When faced with questions without ready answers, do we still trust God?
My friend sent me this message:
You need to feel a bit deprived at times...
a bit lonely... and in a way, incomplete,
'cause if you got everything here on earth
would you still look up to heaven?
It is easy to trust God when we are blessed with graces and we find it difficult to trust Him when faced with trials... I remember one remarkable verse I read from the bible "Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept diversity?" (Job 2:10)
When our relationship is faced with tests, it is best that we, all the more, increase our faith to Him...in ourselves, and in our partner...
2. Action
It is great to have faith, but that's not enough. Faith must move a person to action. Our ability to express our love in many different, creative ways differentiate us from all other God's life creations. We are given the brain to think, the heart to feel, and the body to carry out our emotions. A right action in a right situation can help solidify a relationship.
3. Loyalty
"Honesty is such a lonely word; everyone is so untrue." Sad, isn't it? But, I believe that there are still a lot of people who are loyal and faithful to their partners. The challenge to us all is how to remain faithful in this very inviting, sumptuous world. Loyalty does not only mean to be faithful in a relationship by having only one partner, but also loyalty to our feelings. It is better to tell the truth even if it hurts. Here enters the importance of an open and honest communication. Sometimes one finds it hard to go out of a relationship because of fears of hurting his/her partner, but it is even more hurting to stay in a relationship without any feelings of love anymore.
4. LOVE
The most important of all these... is Love.
"Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil,
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perseveres.
Love never fails..." (1 Corinthians 13: 4 - 8)

Let's Rock...
I can be very extreme sometimes... Don't you know that my favorite band is 'Aerosmith'? I really like Steven Tyler . Performance wise, he is my favorite lead vocal... he's really an ultimate performer and the electrifying voice... simply, superb!!!
One of my favorites... especially when I heard this from the movie Armageddon (which happens to be one of my favorite films, also)... I fell in love with liv and ben... most of all, I got so touched with the love of a father to his daughter... Willis gave justice to the movie!
...and this is the best aerosmith song for me.....
Amazing, isn't it? Aerosmith...rocks!

Songs that Make Me Fall in Love
I swear, this is one of my favorite classic songs. Andy Williams, at age 80, never lost the fabulous, soothing voice that charmed the audiences for decades. Deeply in-loved with this song, I even asked my dad (in advance) to sing this song for me in my wedding (haha... hopefully, someday!)... the perfect voice for a great song!
Oh, how I like this song... this never fails to give me thrills... really makes me feel in-loved over and over again!
An extraordinary, lovely piece... how wonderful it is to be in Love!

Life...
I visited sophia's page... and her latest entry best describes how I am feeling right now... "Live life as if you'll die today." I've been thinking of it lately, especially now that we have just lost one relative due to a tragic sea accident in Japan. I realized how life is so short to be wasted! I just saw my cousin last January when I visited them... and now, he's gone!
More than just the agony of losing my cousin, I will be out tomorrow for a medical check-up and I guess I will be bringing with me my FAITH. I told my mom that I will schedule myself for a check-up without telling her really why... I just told her that I feel dizzy more often than before. She told me if I can manage to go all by myself... and I insisted that I can!
I don't wanna jump out into conclusions but this really bothers me... or maybe, I am just being hypochondriac, the very reason why I should consult a medical doctor. Being a medical person, I know when it is just okay... and when it is not 'just' okay... anyway, tomorrow is the day... I will face my fears.
I am just thankful to God for giving me this life... to Live and most of all to Love...
